Professional Training Opportunity

Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) Support Associate Training is designed for professionals who want to deepen their ability to support families using a developmental approach. This training provides practical guidance on how to help parents create meaningful everyday experiences that build flexible thinking, emotional regulation, and authentic communication in children.

Participants will learn how to support families in implementing RDI principles within daily routines while remaining aligned with the guidance of an RDI Consultant. The focus of this training is practical application, observation, and coaching strategies that help children develop dynamic intelligence through real-life experiences.

Training Details:

Start Date: April 1
Duration: 7 weeks
Schedule: Wednesdays, 12:00 – 2:30 pm EST
Format: Live online professional training
Cost: $1,250 USD

Participants who later decide to pursue certification as an RDI Consultant may apply the full cost of this training toward their future consultant training.

What Participants Will Learn

Understanding the Role of the RDI Support Associate
Participants will gain clarity on how to effectively support families within the RDI framework while maintaining alignment with the consultant’s developmental goals and guidance.

Observing Parent–Child Interaction Through a Developmental Lens
Participants will learn how to identify meaningful developmental opportunities within everyday routines and interactions.

Supporting Dynamic Intelligence
Participants will learn how to create opportunities for flexible thinking, problem solving, perspective taking, and increasing independence within authentic daily experiences.

Applying RDI Principles in Real-Life Contexts
Through case examples, discussion, and guided reflection, participants will explore how RDI strategies can be implemented in home, school, and community settings.

Training sessions include:

• Learn about RDI theory and research 
• Learn how RDI is applied in daily life 
• Interactive discussion
• Video analysis of parent–child interaction
• Case examples from real family experiences
• Collaborative reflection with peers
• Practical strategies participants can apply immediately

It is particularly relevant for educators, therapists, coaches, and professionals working closely with families who want to strengthen their developmental understanding.

A Pathway Toward Consultant Training

The RDI Support Associate training also serves as a meaningful stepping stone for professionals who may wish to pursue certification as an RDI Consultant in the future. The full cost of this training may be applied toward consultant training at a later date.
